MLB Advanced Media manages all of the Operational systems and Data for all 30 baseball clubs. All of the thirty clubs need to have access to their data for their own reporting needs. Business owners were sharing this data manually over emails or uploading to FTP sites. There was a need for a streamlined, secure, automatic, and user-friendly way of sharing this data with all 30 clubs
SOLUTION
We created a multi-module Feed Syndication system, that provided Business Owners an interface to set up data pull, schedule it, define destinations, and encryption methods. The system provided functionality for multiple destinations, error notifications, and delivery confirmation. This system pulls MLB statistical, active game data, e-commerce subscriptions, CRM, Newsletters, and email subscription data.
To power up the solution, we created a data warehouse, a Data Pipeline that pulls data from the sources, incorporates data quality checks, notifies critical errors, and a self-service BI, which allowed users to create flexible reports without any coding skills.
